Daisy's Five Shells

Daisy went to the beach with Mama and Pepper the dog. “Let's find shells!” said Mama.

Daisy found a pink shell. “One!” she said.

She found another. “Two!” Pepper sniffed it. Then a big white one. “Three!”

Four!” said Daisy, holding a shiny grey shell. Pepper wagged his tail.

Last, she found a tiny gold one. “Five!” Daisy counted them all again, one, two, three, four, five.

“You counted every one, all by yourself!” smiled Mama.
